Raid our bead stash and put together 5 strands ending each with a small bell. Attach them to a piece of driftwood and add an ornament to your garden or patio, or display it as a decorative mobile inside your space.

Farewell reception: Cynthia Jenks
Cynthia Jenks, assistant director of scientific planning at the U.S. Department of Energy's Ames Laboratory, is leaving after 24 years of service. She accepted a position with the USDOE's Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Illinois.

Conquering Crappy Light & Color in Photography
2-week program Mondays & Wednesdays beginning July 10, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Sometimes photographers have to shoot in less than ideal lighting situations. This can be particularly intimidating for beginning photographers.
Film: Washed Ashore, Art to Save the Sea
The project, based in Bandon, Oregon, involves collecting, washing and sorting plastic that has washed up on Oregon beaches, and repurposing it into art that is awakening the hearts and minds of viewers to the global marine debris crisis. Reiman Gardens is the first botanical garden to exhibit a collection of monumental sculptures made from this debris, and we invite you to a free public viewing of this feature-length film to learn more.

"Thriving well at work: mindfulness techniques to empower individuals to navigate stressful work situations," Nora Hudson, assistant fitness director, recreation services. Learn and experience various mind/body techniques such as simple yoga poses, breathing and mindfulness exercises with the intention of helping you develop a self-care toolbox to incorporate into your daily life routine.

Dedication: Kemin Food Science Laboratory
A newly renovated food science teaching laboratory, made possible by a charitable contribution from Mary A. Kelleher Nelson and R.W. Nelson and Kemin Industries, will be dedicated with a ribbon cutting. Tours of the new lab will follow the ceremony.
