Artist's Reception: "Faces of Iowa State" exhibit
Join us in celebrating Rose Frantzen and the 39 portraits included in the Faces of Iowa State exhibition currently on view in the Brunnier Art Museum. These new paintings completed over the past 14 months celebrate the tradition and the impact of portraiture at ISU and show the development of ISU as a story of democracy where the vision, dreams, and actions of individual people play a vital role in how our collective identity is shaped.

Artful Yoga
This practice will enrich your yoga experience by going beyond the physical and inviting an artistic perspective to your awareness. Please arrive a few minutes early for a brief discussion of the current exhibition with a yoga twist. The practice will begin at 5:30. No yoga experience is necessary, but please bring your own mat. Free, but online registration required. Sponsored by University Museums and Rec. Services.

Dustin Lynch is an American country music singer and songwriter, signed to Broken Bow Records. Lynch has released two albums for the label: a self-titled album in 2012, and Where It's At two years later. He has also released eight singles, of which four have reached the No. 1 position on Country Airplay.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting
Sort of like blowing bubbles when you were a kid, but we do it with a straw and paint. The popped bubbles show up become more vibrant during firing and make interesting patterns.

ISU Symphonic Band and ISU Concert Band
The Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Concert Band performs a variety of rich literature and approximately 100 students take part in this group.

Artwork Drop-off for Studies in Creativity Student Juried Exhibit
ISU Students are invited to submit artwork for consideration for the Studies in Creativity Exhibit. Students of any major can drop off up to 3 artworks in any media. Chosen artwork will be on display in the Gallery October 19 - December 11.
Sugar Skull Embroidery Workshop
Choose from several patterns and personalize with your color choices. Those new to stitching will learn the basic embroidery stitches. If you know the basics, try some fancy stitches to add to your repertoire.
