3rd annual Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Symposium
The symposium features speakers, a poster session highlighting graduate and undergraduate student research, and a complimentary breakfast, lunch and coffee break. There will be time for the speakers to interact with students. In addition to sharing their research, speakers are invited to discuss their journey and offer advice to students who would like to pursue a career in academia. Ready to Run Iowa is a non-partisan campaign training program to encourage women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign or become involved in public life as leaders in their respective communities. Fee includes workshop materials, a parking pass and light refreshments. Registration is required.

Faces of Iowa State LIVE Portrait Painting - Monica Lursen
University Museums, Iowa State University, is pleased to announce the live painting of 16 portraits by celebrated Iowa artist Rose Frantzen. The portrait painting sessions will take place during a March 29 through April 6, 2017 residency in the lower gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum, 0003 Morrill Hall, on central campus. All portrait sessions will be open to the public to watch Frantzen's artistic process evolve.

ISU Innovation Prize Competition
The ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship and the ISU Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative are sponsoring the first ISU Innovation Prize, a free incentive competition open to students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.
