Open house: Hub patio design concepts
A team from Ames-based Bolton and Menk Inc. will hold an open house to gather feedback about design concepts for the Hub's west patio area. The space will get a $125,000 makeover this summer. Two to three design concepts will be on display in the current outdoor patio area during the open house and on the project website (http://www.bolton-menk.com/thehub) March 6-9.

Public hearing: Regents' agenda
At this public hearing, individuals have an opportunity to provide early input on agenda items for the state Board of Regents March 12 meeting in Iowa City.
PoPS Studio Open House
Students and faculty in the spring-semester Products of Public Space multidisciplinary option studio will be available with a full display of student projects produced so far this semester. Focus will be on the potential for wind power and food vending in downtown Des Moines. The campus community and public are invited to stop by to view and learn more about the work and the studio.

Open forum: Animal science department chair finalist
Mark McGuire, professor of lactation physiology at the University of Idaho, will discuss his leadership style and vision for the department. He is one of three candidates interviewing for the position.
Now: Integrated Visual Arts Exhibition Opening Reception
Opening reception for exhibition of work by graduate students in the ISU integrated visual arts program. The show will be on display through May 8. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday.

Banquet: 25 Year Club
The 25 Year Club honors employees who have served the University for 25, 35, 45 or 50 consecutive years at this annual banquet. Social hour starts at 5:30 p.m.; dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required by March 4.
