This discussion is designed for new faculty but open to all faculty.
Workshop: Capture a Lecture and/or "Flip" a Class with Panopto
Panopto offers a rich set of features for both faculty and students that allows classroom recordings and gives instructors the ability to create rich media resources right from their desks. You may use Pantopo to "flip" your classes so that passive learning (listening to lectures) is done online and active learning (solving problems) is done in class.

This session will be led by associate provost Dawn Bratsch-Prince and Holly Bender, associate director of CELT.
Managing Change in a Changing Workplace
This program is designed to explain the evolution and importance of change management. Participants will be given tips on how to handle change, as well as adjust their attitudes toward the inevitable twists and turns of daily life. The concept of resiliency is also explored. Ideally, participants will learn to welcome, rather than resist, the power of change. Registration is free (AccessPlus).

CELT Morrill Professor Panel and Teaching Poster Symposium
Beginning at 4:00 p.m., a panel session, featuring Morrill Professors Gail Nonnecke and Leo Timms, will share their perspectives on the importance of effective teaching in higher education. The symposium will feature efforts of the CELT Teaching Partners Program which pairs junior faculty with senior faculty mentors, as well as showcasing examples of teaching techniques, teaching strategies and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Roundtable: Design Solutions for Blended Undergraduate Courses
Our presentation will show how to implement successful blended course strategies, factors impacting design and decision points in the design and why they succeed. We will interactively engage in a discussion on early design failures and how to avoid them in your course. We will also show and share how to fully exploit online resources in a blended course.
