Webinar : "Micro-aggression, Micro-resistance, and Ally Development in the Academy"
This webinar will examine ways in which micro-aggressions particularly impact women, faculty and staff of color, and LGBTQ faculty and staff in our institutions. In response, we can practice forms of micro-resistance and ally behaviors when we see our colleagues targeted, or when we ourselves are targeted. This focus on empowerment allows us to take action in our local environments, lessening the impact upon colleague when micro-aggressions occur
Panel: How to Manage Disruptive or Distressed Students in Your Classroom
Student stress, depression, and anxiety often manifest themselves as disruptive and distressed behaviors. Reducing stress, depression, and anxiety increases student engagement, ability to learn, and the mental health and well being of our communities. This panel will provide information and resources for helping faculty identify and respond compassionately and effectively to students exhibiting these behaviors.
Private i : The Mystery of Managing Personal Digital Files
Designed for ISU participants from all backgrounds and levels of experience, this workshop will explore the what, why, and how of personal digital record-keeping through a murder mystery activity. Topics will range from best practices for creating digital records and rights issues in the digital landscape to strategies for storing digital records and emerging developments regarding the digital afterlife.

VPR Workshop: Broader impacts
Over the past five years, broader impacts have seen increased focus at the National Science Foundation. These sections are playing a major role when funding decisions are made. This workshop will provide an overview of how to successfully incorporate broader impacts into your research proposals, resources that may be found on campus, and an NSF perspective on its importance.
