Resin Jewelry Class

We will have papers and fabric, but feel free to bring other items to class which could include thin or small objects, photos or special papers. Enameled Earrings Class

Enameling (using heat to fuse powdered glass to metal) creates a fabulous splash of color for jewelry. Using a torch and a few simple tools you will enamel on flat metal. Combine your components to make multi-dangle earrings in brilliant colors, and have enough discs left over for future jewelry projects.

Portrait Drawing Class

Investigate the anatomy of the face and head through in-class exercises using measurement, size comparison, negative space exploration and other classical drawing techniques using a variety of media. John June Year

John June Year is an independent rock band based in the Midwest that combine the sounds of influences like the Velvet Underground, the Strokes, and the Arctic Monkeys to create something new and wholly their own. Collecting Petersen

For 40 years, University Museums has worked to make sure Iowa State has the largest and most significant collection of works of art created by Petersen and we are adding more to the collection every year. Join University Museums Director Lynette Pohlman to talk about the most interesting and exciting ways we have acquired art by Christian Petersen and learn why it is important to continue collecting, curating, and educating through his sculpture.

When a blues band works together as long as The Kinsey Report has, they develop a special kind of musical communication. On stage or in the studio, each member seems to instinctively know where the others are going, and the entire unit responds like a perfectly-tuned Porsche. The Kinsey Report plays scalding contemporary blues with exactly that sort of intuitive teamwork. This will be a seated show.
