Symposium: Linguistic Perspectives on Discipline-Specific Language
Linguistics researchers who analyze academic discipline-specific language vs. actual writing practices and training for students in those disciplines will present. The intent is to improve pedagogy of writing in STEM disciplines. Faculty and students are invited.

The event will end with a banquet honoring Dr. Willson - 6:00 p.m. cash bar, 7:00 p.m. dinner, South Ballroom, Memorial Union. A number of local students will present research posters throughout the event.
