First day of assigned Spring 2011 registration dates for students continuing as freshmen. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and most Sundays.

Errington Memorial Lecture: Tracking Giants across the Blue Oceans
Marine biologist Barbara Block is recognized for her research on the movement patterns and behavior of large pelagic fishes, such as tunas, billfishes and sharks. A former MacArthur Fellow, Block helped establish the Tuna Research and Conservation Center to study the physiology and population structure of these species, which are highly exploited by international fisheries.
Physical Activity or Body Weight: Which Is More Important for Your Health?
Steven Blair is a recognized authority on exercise and its health benefits. He is coauthor of Fitness after 50, Active Living Every Day, and Physical Activity and Health and was the senior scientific editor for the first U.S. Surgeon General's Report on Physical Activity and Health. The 2010 Helen LeBaron Hilton Chair in Human Sciences.

Virtual Reality Experience
Iowa State University's Virtual Reality Applications Center will be showing off its 3-D technology during its "Virtual Reality Experience." The tour is free and open to the public, but online registration is required.
Workshop: Game development
"Using XNA Framework to Support Game Development." This workshop aims at introducing the foundations of video games development to audiences with programming background (data structure and object oriented concepts) but have not programmed with computer graphics or video games. In essence, this is a workshop about building simple interactive graphical applications. Preregistration required. Refreshments provided.

The sultan eagerly awaits the conclusion of the following night. After 1001 nights of storytelling, he makes her his Queen. The stories of Scheherazade feature genies, thieves, and kings and raise storytelling to a new level of enchantment.
