Day of Insects
Our annual Day of Insects brings together professionals, academics, advocates and enthusiasts of all levels from across the country to explore and celebrate entomology.
Undergraduate Conference: Transforming Gender and Society
Join undergraduate students and faculty from the women's, gender and sexuality studies programs around the state of Iowa. Conference presentations include topics such as original research, creative work, pedagogy, activism and thematic discussions. Presentations will draw from cross-disciplinary and cutting-edge issues in the field of feminist scholarship and praxis.
Volleyball: Spring Tournament
Annual spring tournament. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.; use south entrance only. All matches will be two-sets to 25 points, and win by two points.
AMS Elementary Science Fair
Iowa State's student chapter of the American Meteorological Society is hosting a science fair for first through fifth graders. Students may create a poster or presentation about a science project (does not have to be meteorological) to present before a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place finishes. Register online by April 3.
Performance: Aldo Leopold, A Standard of Change
"Aldo Leopold, A Standard of Change" is a one-man, one-act play written by and starring Jim Pfitzer. Set in one evening in and around the famous Wisconsin Shack that inspired much of his writing, "A Standard of Change" explores the influences and challenges that led Aldo Leopold to penning some of the most important essays in his book "A Sand County Almanac."
Exhibition Reception: Of More Than Ordinary Significance
Reception celebrating the exhibition of artwork by 23 students who will receive BFA degrees in integrated studio arts this year.
The Fashion Show
The Fashion Show 2016, one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the nation, is in it's 34th year and will feature more than 150 student-designed garments on the runway and in mounted exhibitions.

Then, shortly after she arrives, she notices a vine covered wall which surrounds a secret garden. A bird helps her find the key to the door and the next day she discovers the door itself hidden behind the overgrowth. She pushes open the door and her life begins to change.
Penny and Sparrow
While the instrumentation in each of their three albums - Creature (2011), Tenboom (2013), Struggle Pretty (2014) - may differ, Penny & Sparrow has garnered a reputation of blending sincere lyrics with haunting melodies and harmonies in every song. The raw and emotive quality of their songs has been known to push crowds to near silence for an entire set.
