CODAC Spring Art Sale
Annual spring sale of work by students in the integrated studio arts program, sponsored by CODAC (College of Design Art Club).
Computer science colloquia: Elisabeth Nguyen
Elisabeth Nguyen, engineering specialist in the software systems engineering department at The Aerospace Corporation, will present "Using an Assurance Case to Support Independent Assessment of the Transition to a New GPS Ground Control System."
Luncheon: GDCB honors and awards
Genetics, development and cell biology student, faculty and staff honors and awards recognition luncheon.
Lecture: U.S. Wind Energy Market Report
Kathy Belyeu, manager of the American Wind Energy Association's Industry Information Services, will share the results of the association's Annual Wind Industry Report. In addition to the national report, she will provide information specific to Iowa, which has the second most installed wind capacity of any state. Jonathan Wickert, Dean of the College of Engineering, will provide the introduction.
Retirement reception: Hamilton Cravens
Cravens is a professor of history. A short program will begin at 3 p.m.
Retirement reception: Sue Proescholdt and Jeffrey Prater
Proescholdt is the administrative assistant for the music department. Prater is professor and chair of composition and music theory. A short program will begin at 4 p.m.
Integrated Studio Arts Senior Portfolio Night
Graduating seniors in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Integrated Studio Arts will share their portfolios at two public events. Half the students will present their work on April 22; the rest will present their work on April 29. All are invited to attend.
