Youth Activity: Discovery Station
The purpose of Reiman Gardens' discovery stations is to add a fun, informal activity in the Gardens during the summer that relates to the themed garden areas. The discovery stations are family oriented and designed so both youth and adults can participate in the activities.
Story Time with the Animal Rescue League of Iowa

Sew, Stitch and Swap Class
For those who love to stitch! If you are a beginner who needs some guidance, sewing instructor Judith Lemish will be available to troubleshoot and assist. For those with experience, it's a great opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie and idea sharing of a group atmosphere. Judith will do a short demo at 1pm - infinity scarves on June 22 and therapy pillows on July 19.

Photography: Light, Color and Shadows Class
Capture the summer sunlight with your digital SLR during a photography class set at Ada Hayden Park! On Sunday, meet at the shelter near the parking lot at Ada Hayden. We will focus on capturing light, color and shadows in the beautiful natural scenery the park provides. Monday we will meet at the Memorial Union, offering the opportunity to critique photographs and share experiences in photography among classmates.
Argentine Tango Practica Class
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4 - 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

Training to Become a Sentinel Plant Network First Detector
Reiman Gardens' staff will take you through the initial steps to become a certified First Detector, in the ever-increasing effort to detect and diagnose "high-consequence" plant pests and pathogens, such as the emerald ash borer and the Asian long-horned beetle.
