Nanovaccine Initiative Seminar: Vlasta Klima Balloun Lecture
"Engineering Immune Responses in Vaccination and Tolerance Induction," Jeffrey Hubbell, Institute for Molecular Engineering, University of Chicago. Hubbell will discuss his research in immunological tolerance technology for preventing immunity to protein drugs that would otherwise elicit an immune response. Workshop: Papermaking
This is a 3 week course on Thursdays, April 2, April 9, and April 16 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Learn to form sheets of handmade paper using pulp prepared from recycled materials in this hands-on class that makes a splash. Please bring an apron if you have one, and come prepared to make a mess. Great for anyone ages 10 and up.

Carillon Superhighway I-35: Performing Arts Productions over Advanced Network
Three speakers will talk about an upcoming collaborative performance between ISU's Stanton Memorial Carillon and performing arts groups outside the state of Iowa. Like a 2002 "Star Bells" performance, this project will take place simultaneously in two venues with two live audiences. Speakers include Chad Jacobson, recording engineer and systems analyst; Jeffrey Preter, Professor Emeritus of music; and Tin-Shi Tam, Cownie Professor of Music.
