Join us and cultivate a real garden at Reiman Gardens. We will learn about and grow lots of vegetables, pumpkins, tomatoes and sunflowers, as well as beautiful flowers.

Kickoff for Blackboard Learn Support (BUG Faculty Learning Community)

Paint Your Own Pottery: Cyclone Garden Gnomes
"Painting" bisque is a fun and relaxing activity that can be done solo or with a group of friends. From three-inch inch minis to a foot-tall "Ginormagnome" we've got a cast of characters that are fun to decorate and add to your indoor or outdoor space. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.
Opening Reception: Fiberart: Two Views Exhibition
Reception opening an exhibition of fiberart by Timothy J. Arand-McIlrath and Nancy Polster, ISU associate professors emeriti of art and design. They will give an artists' talk at 7 p.m. The show will run through Sept. 30. Hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Fanfare Concert
The department of music's annual Fanfare Concert features performances by ISU music faculty members, including internationally renowned opera star Simon Estes.
Argentine Tango Practica
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Love and Information Auditions
ISU Theatre is seeking an ensemble cast of 14-20+ student actors with the ability to play multiple roles. To audition, please prepare two short, contrasting, contemporary monologues. The entire audition package should not exceed two minutes total. Sign up for an audition slot in Pearson Hall 2130 starting the first week of classes. Auditions are open to all ISU students.
Walk-In Craft: Natural Lip Balm
Using natural products, mix up a batch of a custom lip balm to protect your kisser this summer. Essential oil will be available for fun scents or leave it au-natural. You will have enough to fill a couple tins plus extra that can be taken home and reheated for refilling tins several times over. Walk in anytime but give yourself about half an hour to finish.

This is a four week course on Tuesdays, September 1, September 8, September 15, and September 22 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Join beloved photo instructor Mark Stoltenberg, for a class exploring the "how-to" of taking great pictures whether indoors or outside.

Create a fine silver pendant without traditional metalworking techniques - no jewelry saw, soldering or endless filing! Use metal clay and a mold to make your pendant. We will then use a small torch to fire your work in just a few minutes. When you are done, you'll have a work of art that is 99.9% pure silver.
