Retirement reception: Nancy Brooks
Nancy Brooks, interim assistant VP for business services, is retiring. Brooks served for 28 years at Iowa State, starting in the purchasing department, where she rose to director. A program will begin at 3 p.m.
Farewell reception: Lisa Nolan
Lisa Nolan, Dr. Stephen G. Juelsgaard Dean of Veterinary Medicine, has led the college since 2011. She is leaving to become vet med dean at her alma mater, the University of Georgia, Athens. A short program will be held at 4 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the reception will move to the Vet Med alumni room.

Special Olympics Iowa summer games
More than 3,000 athletes participate in Special Olympics Iowa's largest annual event. Competition includes aquatics, athletics (track & field), bocce, cycling, developmental events, soccer and tennis. Athletes also enjoy Opening Ceremonies at Hilton Coliseum, a Celebration Dance, and activities and entertainment at the Olympic Festival.
