175 jump rings will quickly transform into a lovely copper Byzantine bracelet. Students may want to bring reading glasses or magnifier visor to see the details better.
Outdoor Film showing: Rashomon
Coordinated in conjunction with the temporary sculpture exhibit titled Chuck Ginnever: Rashomon on view in the Food Sciences courtyard, University Museums is showing the seminal Japanese film Rashomon, directed by Akira Kurosawa. Film is unrated with adult themes and content.
Tango Basics
Tango is a rich and complex improvisational dance, considered to be the most challenging yet most fulfilling of all the partnered dances. Starting with a salida, learn to link basic movement patterns so you can have a dancing "conversation" with your partner. Learn the language of Tango and "speak" it with the music. Tango can improve your balance, focus, sensitivity and your ability to work with and respond to a partner. Plus, it's loads of fun!

Walk-In Craft: Scarf Dyeing with Sarah Cady
Dye a silk or cotton scarf with patterns and variations in tones. Choose from two natural dyes - Indigo which makes vibrant blue or kamala which makes golden yellow. Drop in anytime during the evening but give yourself about 45 minutes to complete the project.

These classes teach the basic movements of belly dance with a specific focus and detailed exploration each week. There are two beginning classes per evening on Wednesdays (7-8:10pm and 8:20-9:30pm). Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Punch cards are good for 1 year from purchase date.

Argentine Tango
This Milonga is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time. Wear dancing shoes, smooth-soled shoes, or socks.

Woodshop Orientation Class
For the beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of woodworking equipment. Proper usage of the machinery will be covered, as well as woodshop safety. This class is required in order to use the woodshop on your own.
