Workshop: Advancing ISU's Women Faculty
"Advancing ISU's Women Faculty: Strategies for Being Productive and Getting Recognized." The workshop, designed for tenure and tenure-track women faculty in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will be facilitated by Joy Gaston Gayles, North Carolina State University. Gaston Gyles specializes in diversity and equity issues. A networking lunch will be held following the workshop.
Lecture: Culturally Responsive Teaching
Geneva Gay, professor of education at the University of Washington-Seattle and an international expert in multicultural education, will speak about culturally responsive teaching. She also will facilitate a curriculum development workshop with faculty members from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
