Reception: "Common Threads III"
A reception will open a collaborative exhibition by local fiber artist Catherine Reinhart and Minnesota printmaker and fiber artist Allison Wegren Metzger. The exhibition runs Oct. 1-31 at ISU's Design on Main Gallery, 203 Main St., Ames.

Retirement reception: Keith Bystrom
Keith Bystrom, associate counsel in the office of university counsel, will retire from Iowa State on Oct. 7. A program will begin at 3:15 p.m.
Memorial service: Carlota Gutierrez
Carlota Gutierrez, former 28-year employee in the College of Design reading room, died Sept. 24 at home after battling illness for several months. A program will begin at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Cyclone Club Luncheon
Featured speaker is football head coach Matt Campbell; emceed by Voice of the Cyclones John Walters. Luncheons are open to the public, with an opportunity to ask questions, meet Iowa State head coaches and win prize drawings. An optional lunch, catered by Hy-Vee, is available.
