The Graduate Program in Sustainable Agriculture presents the 11th Annual Research Symposium. Joshua Farley, Ecological Economist and Professor at the University of Vermont, will give a keynote presentation on agroecology, farmer livelihoods and ecosystem services in Brazil's Atlantic Forest. A reception and poster session will follow featuring current research from GPSA students and faculty. Join us and enjoy locally sourced refreshments!

This Earth Day, learn about some of the factors that have contributed to the changing Iowa landscape over the past 100 year. Please join Drs. Mark Hanna and Amy Kaleita, faculty in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, as they discuss the evolution of hay and forage production and harvest, the changing land, and soil and water conservation practices. These issues have impacted Iowa hay and forage production over the past 50 to 100 years.
