Emerging Technologies Conference
The ISU Human Computer Interaction Graduate Program will host their 9th annual Emerging Technologies Conference. ETC | 2012 will showcase the HCI program, students and research. The keynote presentation, sponsored by the Department of Computer Science Robert Stewart Distinguished Lecture Series, will be delivered by Dr. Larry Smarr.
"Working Over Wood" Artist Studio Open House VEISHEA
Every Friday, artist Jennifer Drinkwater will set up her studio in the ground floor gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum - Room 0003. She invites the public to visit with her, participate, and develop a dialog about her current project to reinterpret and recompose the Grant Wood mural for Parks Library "When Tillage Begins, Other Arts Follow".
ISU Hort Club: Plant Sale
Members of the Horticulture Club will sell annuals, perennials and green roof bird houses. Sale continues April 21 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The university's highest awards are presented at this ceremony, which is open to the public. A reception follows in the MU South Ballroom.
Seminar: In celebration of 100 years of Agricultural Education at ISU
"Preparing 21st Century-Ready Global Agriculture Leaders: Current, Issues, Future Challenges and Outstanding Potential Opportunities -- The Disciplinary Obligations for Agricultural Education," Antoine Alston, professor of agricultural education and interim associate dean for academic studies, North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro. A reception follows in 224 Curtiss.
Biorenewables Juried Student Art Exhibition Reception
Reception and announcement of awards for the Biorenewables Juried Student Art Competition, which was open to undergraduate and graduate students in the integrated studio arts and integrated visual arts programs. Selected work will be on display in the Biorenewables Research Laboratory through next April.

Stars Over Veishea: RENT
Stars over Veishea musical production of RENT. The story of a group of eight friends who are impoverished young artists and musicians, struggling to create and survive under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The musical first opened on Broadway in 1996, ran for 12 years, and won a Pulitzer Prize.
