Fall reception: National Arts and Humanities Month
Hosted by ISU's Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and features brief faculty presentations on current research. Refreshments will be served.

Information forum: Presidential Initiative for Interdisciplinary Research
ISU officials will provide details and answer questions from teams interested in seeking pursuit funds from this new initiative.
Homecoming: Honors and Awards Ceremony
As part of the Homecoming celebration, each college as well as the ISU Alumni Association will recognize their alumni and friends. The ceremony is open to the public. A dessert reception will follow.

Award presentation and reception
Barbara Iverson, president of Weber Shandwick's financial services industry practice group, will receive the James W. Schwartz Award for Distinguished Service, the university's highest recognition of achievement in journalism and mass communication. A reception follows the award presentation.
