Creating An Inclusive Classroom: I’m More Than The Color Of My Skin
"I don't like going to the class ... the other students, the professor ... I don't feel like I belong there." Could this quote be from a student in your class? Multicultural students make up approximately 11 percent of the total undergraduate student body at ISU. While this population is increasing at ISU, retention and graduation rates are lower than their majority peers.

Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair
The career fair provides students with opportunities to meet with employers recruiting in the areas of business, industry and technology. Over 140 companies will be in attendance with information on jobs and internships in these fields.
Chinese Students, American Classrooms: A Teaching and Learning Circle
Chinese-speaking students comprise the largest single group of international undergraduates at ISU. The teaching and learning circle will explore the preparation of Chinese undergraduates for American higher education, the current experience of Chinese undergraduates at Iowa State, and develop best practices for teaching.

The Architect's Shadow: David Leatherbarrow
David Leatherbarrow, professor and interim chair of the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, will address the subject of "presence" by considering the work of a single figure--Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn (1924-2009), winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and Heinrich Tessenow Gold Medal. The 2013 Richard F. Hansen Lecture in Architecture.

Grandma Mojo's Moonshine Revival is a student run improv troupe on campus. They perform in the M-Shop on various Wednesdays during the semester as well as performing the Monday of VEISHEA week. Grandma Mojo's is the best and cheapest date on campus - admission is only $1!
