Prague-based architect and educator Osamu Okamura, program director of the reSITE international festival in Prague, will address the state of urban planning in Central and Eastern Europe and highlight some of the emerging platforms--like reSITE--for designers to effect change through society, the media and public administration. Matthew Sivils, CEAH fellow, will provide a brief overview of the texts of some of the most influential 18th and 19th century naturalist-explorers, such as Mark Catesby, Alexander Wilson and John James Audubon. The program will be followed by a viewing of rare natural history volumes housed in Special Collections.
