Alice Dahle is President of the Linn County Chapter of the UN and President of the Iowa Chapter of Amnesty International. Marcia Brink is an Ames peace and justice activist. Their presentation is part of a symposium entitled "Walk the Talk: From Theory to Activism." To register for the entire symposium, go to: http://www.iastate.edu/~wsprogram/activi...mepage.htm. A Symposium on Feminism & Activism

This symposium will provide a venue for ISU faculty, staff, and students to interact with each other and with invited feminist activists to focus on how we confront injustice and discrimination. The symposium will include a lunch/plenary session with a keynote speaker discussing diverse forms of activism; breakout sessions focusing on career planning for the non-profit sector, creative justice, and stories of becoming activists; and a plenary panel discussion of local activists.
