Trigger Simulations for the VERITAS Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope Array
|Date/Time:||Friday, 18 Sep 2009 from 4:10 pm to 5:10 pm|
|Location:||3 Physics Hall|
I will briefly discuss the current research efforts being conducted by the ISU particle astrophysics group, including our work with the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope and the VERITAS ground-based atmospheric Cherenkov telescope array. I will then discuss the imaging atmospheric Cherenkov technique, hadronic background rejection, and the trigger simulations that I am performing for the VERITAS trigger upgrade and the proposed AGIS array.
