The Center for Neighborhood Technology has created a Housing and Transportation (H+T) Affordability Index to help identify and measure livability and mobility issues and relate them to sustainability. Shull will present an overview of livability concepts, explain the GIS-based H+T Affordability Index and show how the index can be applied, within the context of recent transportation investments and grant awards in the Des Moines area.
Shull is a policy analyst for CNT and has worked as a planning consultant in Baton Rouge, La., post-Hurricane Katrina.
Her lecture is sponsored by the Community and Regional Planning Club (CRP Club).
