Dedication ceremony for the Paula Cowgill Gmelch Memorial Sculpture in the Lagomarcino courtyard. The sculpture was designed by Ingrid Lilligren, ISU art and design.

Paula Cowgill Gmelch served as a program coordinator for the "Strengthening Families to Become the Best" campaign as well as the Family and Consumer Sciences Education Leadership Academy. She is the late wife of Walter Gmelch, Dean of the College of Education from 1998-2004.
