"Progress Toward A High-Performance, Brain-Machine Interface," Andy Schwartz, University of Pittsburgh. A research poster session precedes the lecture at 11:15 a.m. in the west (fish tank) lobby.

Schwartz's talk will focus on work in the area of motor cortex signals and cortical neural arm and hand prosthetics for animals and humans with spinal cord injuries.

The Ramsey Lecture Series is named for Dr. Frank Ramsey (1910-1992), a former head of the veterinary pathology department, who established an endowment in the college. The series is intended to bring accomplished and leading animal and human health researchers to campus to share their work and experiences with faculty, staff and students.
