The U.S. is trailing behind other countries in broadband adoption and speed. It is crucial that broadband be considered a fundamental part of a community's infrastructure, says Joseph Cassis, deputy director of the Iowa Communications Network.

Cassis oversees corporate marketing, communications and public relations; training; strategic planning; IT; policy development; office management, including video scheduling, and state operator functions for the ICN.

This presentation is sponsored by the Graduate Community and Regional Planning Club. It is free and open to the public.
