"Just Desserts" will feature 20 desserts by various Story County vendors. Call 4-1663 or stop by the YWCA Ames-ISU office at 210 Lab of Mechanics to purchase tickets in advance. All proceeds support scholarships for ISU women as well as programming that works to eliminate racism and empower women.

A competition for "The Best Dessert in Story County" will be held during this year's event. Four judges, including Iowa State's first lady Janet Leath, will choose their favorite dessert. A People's Choice favorite dessert also will be selected.
