Featuring Mike Piwowar, Republican chief economist for the Senate Banking Committee

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act was signed into law in 2010, but much of the law and the many rules that followed have yet to be implemented. Meanwhile, the debate is far from settled: some propose substantial changes to Dodd-Frank, citing unnecessary regulatory burdens and broader negative economic impacts; other resist any change, citing the cost of the 2008 financial crisis and the need to hold Wall Street accountable.

Piwowar will discuss the future of financial regulatory reform in light of the outcome of the November 6 elections.
