Alyson Beytien, behavior specialist for the Mercy Autism Center, Dubuque, Iowa, will give a presentation on what everyone --parents, teachers, extended family and support personnel -- can do each day to ensure success for children with autism.

Beytien is a popular speaker, parent/teacher trainer and mother of three sons with autism. She is the author of Autism Everyday, which received the 2012 Literary Work of the Year from the Autism Society of America.

The event is sponsored by Iowa State's Student Disability Resources office, the local support group, Autism Spectrum Parent Information Resources & Education (ASPIRE), and Heartland Area Education Agency. April is National Autism Month.
