Leola Adams, Ph.D., CFCS, is the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award Recipient in the department of human development and family studies in the College of Human Sciences. She will present a public lecture, "Stepping out on Faith."

Lecture summary: When it is critical that an unprecedented decision must be made soonest in order to save an academic unit and resources that undergird the decision are not in place, you must step out on faith. What you know for sure is that effective leadership and administrative skills are essential to achieving desired programmatic outcomes.
