Solvable models in instant and front form of relativistic dynamics

A few new results in the area of exactly solvable models will be discussed in the conventional field theory as well as in the light front field theory. The models include the Thirring, Rothe-Stamatescu and the Trirring-Wess model. We work within the hamiltonian framework and pay careful attention to the correct definition of interacting currents, to the right choice of field variables and the corresponding Hamiltonians including their true physical ground states. A few subtle effects which arise from a necessity to use well-defined (regularized) quantities on the quantum level, will be explained. A consistent treatment of the two-dimensional massless light front fermions will be formulated along with its implications for the light front solutions of the above models.
