This year's expo will again feature a bacon-eating contest, an activity area for children called the "Pig Pen" and a new feature called the "Bacon Voice" talent contest. The entry fee for the talent contest is a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Ames Food at First Program. Industry representatives and local vendors will serve novelty bacon items.
Sponsors for Bacon Expo include the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Elanco and Iowa Select Farms.
