This Earth Day, learn about some of the factors that have contributed to the changing Iowa landscape over the past 100 year. Please join Drs. Mark Hanna and Amy Kaleita, faculty in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, as they discuss the evolution of hay and forage production and harvest, the changing land, and soil and water conservation practices. These issues have impacted Iowa hay and forage production over the past 50 to 100 years.

This discussion is inspired by the pastels of Ellen Wagener in the exhibition Ever Changing Land: The Art of Ellen Wagener currently on view in the Brunnier Art Museum.
