This session will explore what it means to "gamefully design" a course. Gameful design goes beyond badges, points, and leaderboards to include more complex elements that promote deeper engagement. These elements include autonomy, agency, narrative, and more. Gameful design elements will be examined within several learning contexts, such as large lectures, small courses, and online courses.

Sept. 15, Oct. 13*, Nov. 17*, 2015
*An additional hour for hands-on application and additional pedagogical discussion
