A four-week class taught by photographer Mark Stoltenberg

A four-week class on Tuesdays March 7, March 14, March 21, and March 28 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

How do you capture a highly contrasted scene, where your details are in deep dark shadows and bright highlights? HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography opens up a new world of options for landscape, architecture, still life and art photographers. However, many photographers overuse this technique and create unrealistic images. In this class, treasured instructor Mark Stoltenberg of Mark Stoltenberg Photography, will show you how to make natural-looking HDR images - from selecting the best subjects to capturing them in the camera to post production in Adobe Lightroom. You will learn how to get the widest dynamic range out of your images, while maintaining a look of beautiful realism.

You will need to bring the following to each class: your DSLR camera, and sturdy tripod. Beginner Photography or instructor permission is the prerequisite for this class.

Preregistration with prepayment is required by Wednesday, March 1. Cost is $76 for members, $95 for the general public, and $64.60 for Iowa State University students.
