Iowa's top science and math HS students face off in a Q&A format in which contestants are quizzed on their knowledge of math and a range of science disciplines.

This is one of 120 regional competitions held throughout the nations. The winning team receives an all-expenses-paid trip to the DOE's National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C., April 27-May 1.

The morning session is a round-robin tournament, with the top 16 teams advancing to the double-elimination competition in the afternoon. Hoover Hall is the site of registration and the championship round.
