The College of Business CEO Speaker Series provides a forum where CEOs can share their path to the top, and inspire students who are preparing for their careers.
Kenneth Sullivan
Sullivan holds a number of board posts, including Smithfield Foods, WH Group, and the Smithfield Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves as the philanthropic wing of Smithfield Foods. The Smithfield Foundation provides educational scholarships to the dependent children and grandchildren of full-time and retired employees, and also funds educational partnerships, environmental projects, animal well-being initiatives, and local community projects where employees live and work.
Sullivan originally joined Smithfield in 2003 as Vice President of Internal Audit, became Chief Accounting Officer in 2007, was named Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer in 2010, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer in June of 2012, promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2013, Chief Operating Officer in 2015 and, in 2016, became Smithfield's President & Chief Executive Officer.
