Lecture: Peter Hedges on Writing and Directing
Peter Hedges, who grew up in West Des Moines and attended Valley High School, is a novelist, screenwriter, and film director. He wrote both the novel and the screenplay What's Eating Gilbert Grape and is the writer-director of Pieces of April and Dan in Real Life. His screenplay for About a Boy was nominated for an Academy Award well as a BAFTA and a Writers Guild of America Award.

Four-person teams will compete in a 9-hole tournament with glow in the dark golf balls, glow sticks around all hazards and greens and along the fairways. Pre-register team captain and other team members can sign up on site the day of the event.

Last day to change a second half-semester course to or from Pass/Not Pass. Courses changed to graded basis after March 12 count toward total allowable P/NP credits used for graduation.

VEISHEA Opening Ceremony
VEISHEA 2010 is scheduled for April 12-18. VEISHEA is an annual celebration held at Iowa State each spring, and one of its oldest traditions. It serves as a showcase and display of the Iowa State community with a wide variety of educational and entertainment events.

Stars Over Veishea: "Guys and Dolls"
A New York gambler named Sky Masterson takes a $1000 bet that he can't get Sarah Brown from the Save-a-Soul Mission to go to Havana with him. The bet has a hidden motive to finance a crap game. Sky has always been lucky, but Sarah seems immune to his charms. Will Sarah fall in love or will Sky's luck run out at last? Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical. Event is held in cooperation with Stars Over VEISHEA and ISU Music.
Late Night with Dr. Drew
Dr. Drew has been helping young adults with relationship, sexuality and drug addiction problems for almost three decades. He is best known as the producer and host of VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Sober House and Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew as well as host of the nationally syndicated radio show "Loveline."
Womens Campanile Countdown
Run from Beardshear Hall to the fountains in front of the Memorial Union. The winners of each race will be given prizes, and participation is free.

VEISHEA Recycling
Thanks to the GreenHouse Group, VEISHEA will offer campus-wide recycling for the first time. Students are hoping to collect 6,000 containers.

The Workspace will be hosting Art Mart, the annual arts and crafts sale at the Iowa State Memorial Union during VEISHEA.
