Charles It Shen Hwang received a Focus Grant this year for a paper marbling project. He will set up shop and hold a workshop and hands-on demonstration. See the techniques and then try them yourself and take home a sample of how floating colors can create images and pattern on paper.

The Lolita Effect: Girls, Sexuality & Contemporary Media
Meenakshi Gigi Durham's work centers on media and the politics of the body, with an emphasis on gender, sexuality, race and youth cultures. She is a professor of journalism at the University of Iowa and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies.

Little Dresses for Africa Work Weekend
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses

The Dear Hunter began as a side project of Casey Crescenzo when he was full time member of the Boston, Mass., band The Receiving End of Sirens. It was originally intended as a vehicle for music Casey had written that didn't fit with the heavier sound of The Receiving End of Sirens.
