Walk-In Dance: Belly Dance
A Three Pillars Delsarte based approach to Middle Eastern Belly Dance in the style of award winning performer Shiara. Learn the basic movements of belly dance with a specific focus and detailed exploration each week (listed below). The 8:20pm class will focus on technique, expression and choreography.

Health screenings
The kinesiology department is offering free blood pressure and body composition screenings to employees. No appointment is necessary, and all participants will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 Hy-Vee gift cards. The screenings are coordinated by Wellness Works, a student outreach program.

Seminar: Nanovaccine Initiative and CBE
"Frontiers of Biomedical Materials," Jindrich Kopecek, University of Utah, Salt Lake City. Kopecek will discuss the evolution of biomedical materials and the creation of a new paradigm in nanomedicine -- drug-free macromolecular therapeutics. A reception precedes the seminar (10:30 a.m., 2061 Sweeney Hall).

Showcase: President's Flipped Class Initiative
Squarely aligned with the President's initiatives on institutional excellence and enhancement of the student experience, the 2015 President's Flipped Classroom Initiative (PFCI) includes course development projects involving over 60 faculty and staff from 25 academic departments, representing all academic colleges. The event will include a short program followed by a poster session and reception.

Meeting: Summer undergraduate research
Learn about the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program and other summer research opportunities at ISU and elsewhere. A panel of faculty and students who have directed or participated in research programs will talk about finding programs, application processes and experiences the programs offer. Most opportunities are in STEM disciplines and require applicants to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
