Engineering For A Sustainable World: An Artist's Approach
Rosette Gault's work is a blend of art and science. She holds a patent on paperclay, a plastic modeling mix of clay, paper pulp and water whose fired result can be indistinguishable from conventional clay, but is much lighter in weight. Gault is working to develop a water filtration system for developing countries, taking advantage of the nanoparticle size of the openings left by the burned-out paper in the firing process.

ISU Theatre Production of "The Arabian Nights"
A Persian sultan whose first wife was unfaithful mistrusts all women until his beautiful young bride, Scheherazade, tells him a story on their first night together and begins a second one. The sultan eagerly awaits the conclusion of the following night. After 1001 nights of storytelling, he makes her his Queen. The stories of Scheherazade feature genies, thieves, and kings and raise storytelling to a new level of enchantment.

The 24th Annual Organists of Iowa Concert Series will feature Brad Van Horn, Jodi Jurgemeyer, and Charles Sukup, with Cindy Hemm and Jackie Sheahan Burk, from small-town, north Iowa farms.
Shuck Nebraska Rally
Support the Cyclones as they face Nebraska for the final time. Activities include: all-you-can-eat pancakes ($1); corn eating contest ($50 prize); ultimate fan contest ($100 prize) and a pep rally with Cy and the ISU band. The event is open to the public.

Malaysian Cultural Night
An annual event celebrating Malaysia's cultural diversity. Performances representing the various ethnic groups that build this country. Event has seven different performances, lucky draw and a dinner serving ethnic Malaysian food. Doors open at 7 p.m.
