Scrooge as a young boy endured a very lonely childhood which leads him to shut away his feelings and build security through the accumulation of great wealth. In one magical night three ghosts visit him to teach him the lessons of what is more important than money. After viewing the past, the present, and the future, the choice is up to Scrooge as to whether it is ever too late to change.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4- 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

STEM Education Collaboration Coffee
CESMEE interim director Frankie Santos Laanan will introduce the NSF solicitation for the Transforming STEM Learning (TSL) program, and Diane Rover, director of the Strengthening the Professoriate @ ISU program, will introduce developing quality Broader Impact programs, which can significantly strengthen NSF proposals.

Gail Ferlazzo, associate director at the Memorial Union, is leaving to set sail on a new adventure. Gail has worked at the MU for the past seven years. Her last day is Monday, Dec. 19.

Release a Butterfly into the Butterfly Wing
Release your very own butterfly into the Butterfly Wing. Each registered person/group will be given their own butterfly, which they will then release into the Wing. For your participation, each person/group will receive a special certificate with their name, the name of their butterfly and the date. Call 515-294-2710 to reserve a butterfly/butterflies. Preregistration is strongly encouraged.

Commencement: Undergraduate and Graduate
An anticipated 1,650 students completing an Iowa State University degree this semester will be honored during a single commencement ceremony. Former Iowa State faculty member, Business dean and provost Ben Allen will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters from the university for excellence in educational leadership and for scholarly contributions to the field of transportation and logistics. Allen also will deliver the commencement address.
Post-Commencement Reception
Walk across the parking lot to the Alumni Center immediately following commencement for a reception for fall 2011 graduates and their families and friends. The reception will be open for two hours and will include refreshments, photo opportunities, tours of the Alumni Center and merchandise for purchase.
