Navigating Congress and federal agencies
Sophia Magill, ISU assistant director of federal relations, will join representatives from Washington, D.C.-based Van Scoyoc Associates and The Implementation Group to provide information on navigating the federal landscape with regard to the federal grant process. Walk-In Craft: Felted Woodland Creatures
Make an adorable and fuzzy winter-themed woodland creature! Wool roving will be used along with needle felting techniques to create a three dimensional character. These little softies are fun to make and make great ornaments during the winter season. Felt and fabric will be available for those who want to add a little hat or scarf to their critter. A great beginner project! Drop in anytime but give yourself about an hour and a half.

Andrea Wheeler, assistant professor of architecture, will share results of a Big 12 Faculty Fellowship award at the University of Texas at Austin, during which she examined problems of assessment in the field of sustainable architecture. She takes a critical, feminist approach to exploring what it might mean to design a sustainable school environment while attending to ecological belonging. Part of the IDRO Friday Research Seminar Series.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Ornaments
"Painting" bisque is a fun and relaxing activity that can be done solo or with a group of friends. Great for gifts or make them to decorate your space for the holidays. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.
Reception: "Ripples 2"
"Ripples 2" is an exhibition of nearly 100 different artworks originating from a single woodcut print. The exhibit features artist books, collages, drawings, paintings, sculptures, mixed-media works and videos created by more than 45 artists. "Ripples 2" runs Nov. 13-Dec. 7. Gallery hours are 2-5 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.

As a 12-year-old Drew Baldridge and his buddy rolled his father's Old MGB in front of the derby crowd because the car wouldn't even start, the youngster was already a seasoned performer. The duo went on to perform a stellar rendition of "Greased Lightning" with his buddy in the back of the car, fake cigarette in mouth, sliding down the front of the car, and with detailed choreography to match the racy lyrics. You could say it was quite salacious

"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Weekend
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses. From cutting fabric and ironing to sewing, there is a place for anyone who has an hour or two to spare. Drop in to our community studio to help another community of children in the orphanages of Central Africa. www.littledressesforafrica.org

Each family-friendly tailgate features games, prizes, marching band performance, merchandise, cash bar and optional catered meal (preregistration required). Tailgates begin three hours prior to kickoff and end 30 minutes prior to game time.

Argentine Tango Practica
This Milonga is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time. Wear dancing shoes, smooth-soled shoes, or socks.
Band Extravaganza
Ensembles scheduled to perform include the ISU Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble I, and the Cyclone Marching Band.
