Mythbusters with Grant Imahara
Grant Imahara, a member of the Discovery Channel's MythBusters team, will show clips from the show and explain how they do it all. Imahara is a former animatronics engineer and model maker for George Lucas's Industrial Light & Magic, the special-effects shop, where he worked on such movies as The Lost World, Star Wars: Episode I, and Terminator 3.

"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Day
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4- 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

ISU Major Fair
Iowa State students looking to select a major or minor can experience one-stop shopping at the ISU Major Fair on Monday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Memorial Union Great Hall. All ISU colleges and 102 majors will be represented.

Watercolors in the Garden: The figure in the landscape
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa as she teaches a series of ten classes on watercolors while being inspired by the surrounding gardens. Classes will focus on the figure in the landscape taking inspiration from tree and bonsai. Participants will get to showcase their art during the Bonsai Show on Saturday, October 8th. Open house: Leadership and Service Center
The new Leadership and Service Center, sponsored by the Student Activities Center, is a resource for students to explore their leadership and service journeys. The center is open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
College of Veterinary Medicine: Ramsey Lecture
