ArtWalk: State Gym
Join Nancy Girard, educator, for a tour of some the newest additions to the Art on Campus Collection in the recently opened State Gym expansion. This semester's ArtWalks focus on the Thousand Words Project, which asks members of the Iowa State Community to re-interpret works of art in the Art on Campus Collection.
Retirement celebration: Helen Olson
Olson, an academic adviser in the department of agricultural education and studies, is retiring. A short program will begin at 2:45 p.m.
University Honors Program: Spring Poster Presentation and Reception

Workshop: Funding grant proposals
"Secrets to Targeting the Right Funding Source for Your Grant Proposal," with ISU librarians Rebecca Jackson and Sarah Passonneau. This workshop will focus primarily on using grants.gov and the Foundation Center Directory Online Professional, the two most comprehensive tools for finding funding sources.Registration is required through AccessPlus. All faculty, staff and grad students are welcome to attend.

Staniforth Memorial Lecture
"Field Weeds, Field Margins and Biodiversity: Ecological and Geographical Perspectives," Jon Marshall, director, Marshall Agroecology Limited. Marshall is an academic journal editor and research ecologist specializing in agroecology, vegetation management, weed science and the interactions between crop and non-crop habitat on farms. A reception will follow in the Agronomy Hall commons. This is the 23rd Annual David W. Staniforth Memorial Lecture.

Every Friday, artist Jennifer Drinkwater will set up her studio in the ground floor gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum - Room 0003. She invites the public to visit with her, participate, and develop a dialog about her current project to reinterpret and recompose the Grant Wood mural for Parks Library "When Tillage Begins, Other Arts Follow".
