APEX Student Juried Exhibit Submission
The Iowa State Memorial Union is issuing a call for entries for APEX, a student juried art exhibition at the Memorial Union. Students may enter up to three entries in any media. Accepted artwork will be on display March 31-May 1, 2016.

Registration begins for juniors: Summer 2016, Fall 2016
First day of assigned Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 registration dates for students projected as juniors. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday--Saturday, and most Sundays.
NSF CAREER grants workshop
Recent CAREER Grant awardees will talk about their experiences in developing their proposals, including their plans for the broader impacts, evaluation, and other requirements of this program. The speakers will provide some tips and recommendations, and participants will have time to ask questions.
Research in the Capitol
ISU students, along with undergraduates from the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa, will display posters and describe their research to legislators, reporters and top university administrators, serving as ambassadors to convey the depth and variety of research being done at Iowa State.
Seminar: Strategies for Incorporating Game-Based Learning into the Scholarship of Teaching
In this session, Dr. Matthew Schmidt will share his experience of using GBL in his courses and research. And how he uses his teaching experience as a research opportunity. The presentation will focus on challenges and highlights of research on teaching with GBL. Potential strategies for finding appropriate outlets for publication and collaboration plan will also be discussed.
