Meeting: Faculty Senate

Meeting: Iowa Board of Regents
Created by the Iowa General Assembly in 1909, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, is a group of nine citizens who govern five public educational institutions in the state through policymaking, coordination and oversight, as provided by law. Meetings are open to the public.
Registration begins for Spring 2017
First day of assigned Spring 2017 registration dates for students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and students in the Graduate College. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday--Saturday
Registration for Seniors: Spring 2017
Seniors graduating Spring 2017 should submit a Graduation Application after registering for final course work. Submit via AccessPlus (student tab, graduation, application).
ASCE Land Survey Conference
This annual conference provides information on current practices and new techniques for land and engineering surveying for meeting regulatory requirements and a focus on construction survey projects. The availability of more accurate topographic data through the statewide LIDAR project will enhance the project planning and design for both public and private development. Listen - Documentary Screening
LISTEN was inspired by Writer/Director Erahm Christopher's work with nearly one million youth. The film is about a school counselor who struggles to make a difference as isolation and negative influences spark destructive behavior among broken youth. Prominent themes include: mental illness, self-harm, gang violence, racism, cyber-bullying, domestic abuse and suicide.

Symposium: The Microbiome in Health and Disease
Prominent microbiome and AMR experts spanning human, animal, and plant sciences will engage in and deliberate on the current state of the field. A light breakfast, lunch and evening refreshments will be provided, along with ample opportunities to network with experts in the field. Students and laboratories who have conducted prior work in this realm are encouraged to share their findings via a poster session. Register online.
